This year, we have 4 days during the month of June that we are offering Restaurants for Refugees. Visit one or all of our partnering restaurants on these days to enjoy some delicious food to support the work of the African Community Center in Denver.

Open every day for breakfast and lunch, Jelly has become the place to frequent in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Join Jelly for a quirky environment filled with energy, helpful staff and delicious food. Jelly is open 7 days a week from 7:00am-3:00pm. June 13th:
Le Central:
The Finest French Food Found on Lincoln!
Since 1981, Le Central has been serving the “taste of Provence” on the southeast corner of 8th and Lincoln in Denver. Le Central employs several Bhutanese-Nepali refugees and they have collaborated with the Le Central staff to provide a special menu featuring some of the specialities from their home country.
Le Central will be offering this special dish for dinner only on June 13th for $32/per person with all of the profits being donated to the African Community Center.
Here is the Menu for that Evening:
Samosa: baked pastry with a spicy savory filling of split pea and potato with a savory and sour chutney
Red Rice: this high altitude rice is similar to brown rice and is extremely nutritious and filling. When cooked it is pale pink, soft and slightly sticky
Roti: unleavened flat bread
Khasi: goat marinated in Dahi (yogurth) tandori with curied lentils, onions, carrots and garlic
Gulab Jamun: spongy milky balls in cardamon seed and rose water syrup.
